Terrified to bike and walk…

As a resident who walks and bikes all over Winter Park frequently, I agree a fix is needed. One time I tried to bike, reluctantly, with my then 8-year-old son along the southern sidewalks near the curves. He was terrified and dismounted his bike and walked it in terror till we could get down into the neighborhood and ride Mizell, away from 426. I never attempted that route with him again and even as an adult, I always fear for my life, afraid a motorist will jump the curb and take me out. I hope a safer solution can be found for all road users.
