Car swerved, ran red light…

“I live one block from it and will do anything to avoid the stretch from Lakemont to the 4. I was driving a week ago in the late afternoon in a downpour, in that direction, and the crossing light @rollins switched suddenly. I had room to stop so I did. The car behind me swerved around me, sped up, and ran the red, nearly hitting the people that were streaming across the intersection in both directions trying to get out of the storm.

#1 the light was very quick and could give more time on the yellow.

#2 they need to have a camera there as people seem to frequently disregard this intersection.

#3 I think the only real solution is increased policing. Only with greater enforcement will there be increased compliance.”
